Recipe | Dehydrated Flat Bread (Without a Dehydrator!)
Ever wondered what to do with all that delicious pulp that’s left over after juicing? There are SO many ways you can use the left over juice pulp; patties, cakes and our new favourite: dehydrated flat bread. Making your own juice at home is a great way to get more micronutrients into your diet, because, let’s be honest, as much as we love carrots there’s not way we could eat 2 kilos of them per day! The best thing about this recipe is that you can make it without a dehydrator.
You Will Need
A baking tray
Baking paper
A mixing bowl
Measuring cups
Spoons
Ingredients
2 cups juice pulp of your choice (we used carrot, apple, beetroot and ginger)
2 tbs flaxseed (linseed)
2 tbs chiaseeds
2 tbs sunflower seeds
2 tsp turmeric (fresh grated or powder)
1/4 tsp sea salt (optional)
Method
1. Pre-heat oven to 100°C (fan forced).
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
3. Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
4. Spread out mixture evenly on baking tray.
Tip: Score lines in the mixture to make evenly sized pieces, if you like!
5. Place in the oven for 1 to 2 hours until slightly golden and crispy (this will depend on your oven).
Enjoy with dips, spreads or just devour on site.
